Ordering Process Example 3 – A Customer Orders a Food and Drink Item

  1. Your customer (i) opens ROUND on their smartphone, (ii) browses your menu, and (iii) orders and pays for the food and drink items they want, specifying whether they would like the product to be served to their table or to the designated collection point.
  2. The order appears in the ​‘Live’​ section of the​ ‘Your Orders’ ​pages, along with the details of the order.
  3. Your bar staff taps ​‘Accept’​ on the order.
  4. This action redirects the food item to the ‘Kitchen’ section of the ‘Your Orders' page. It also notifies the customer that their order has been accepted by the venue.
  5. Begin making the drink item, ensuring that any product customisations – e.g.No Ice, Dash of Coke, etc – are fulfilled.
  6. Begin making the food item, ensuring that any product customisations – e.g.Extra sauce, no salad, etc – are fulfilled.
  7. Once the food item has been made, tap on the green ‘traffic light’. Then:
  8. If the drink item has not yet been delivered/collected, tap the green ‘traffic light’ next to the drink item, and serve both food and drink items together.
  9. If the drink item has already been delivered/collected (i.e. a member of bar staff has already tapped the green ‘traffic light’ next to the drink item), proceed to serve the food item to the customer’s table. If the customer ordered for collection, take the food item to the collection point and call out their order number.
FOR COLLECTION​ – When the customer arrives at the collection point, politely ask for their Order Number at the collection point, and ensure that they provide the correct Order Number. ​Make sure to tap ‘Mark as Collected’ as soon as the customer has collected their order – this will move the order from ‘Live’ to ‘Past’.

FOR TABLE DELIVERY​ – Politely ask for their Order Number at the table, and ensure that they provide the correct Order Number (which can be found on the ​‘Your Orders’ page).
